About me

Cruising some two-lane in South Dakota. Mmm, bugs.
My name is Mark. I ride motorcycles. If I'm not riding, I'm probably thinking about riding. This blog will give me an outlet for that energy while hopefully polluting your mind with my rantings. The idea to start this site was first inspired by my enjoyment of writing about my first big road trip from New York to California in 2010, and further inspired by a fellow rider who talked about documenting every ride and motorcycle event he attended this year.
I've been riding since puberty and my experience spans everything from dirt to track days, commuting to cross-country touring and most everything in between. I've owned dirt bikes, crotch rockets, Harleys and sport tourers. If I haven't owned it, I've probably at least ridden it.
My goal with this site is to document my motorcycling adventures and provide you with quality content, which means I will try to limit entries like, "O. M. G. my bestie totally just like kissed my prom date." to a minimum. You also shouldn't read something as thin as, "Went for a ride today. Put $3.56 of gas in the tank." I will try to post often, but if I don't have a productive thought that day (which happens often enough), I'll just not post. If you have an idea for an entry, feel free to comment on the blog or send me an email and I'll see what I can come up with.
Please be aware that topics may drift into cooking, photography, politics and mastering the French language.
So, stick around. I hope I can at least entertain you or, at a minimum, help you practice your reading skills.
Oh, and unless otherwise noted, all of the text and photos on this website are property of me - I'm happy to share, but please ask first.
Please move along, there's nothing more to see here.
