2007 Buell Firebolt XB12R

I really miss this bike.
After spending foolish amounts of cash trying to get my Sportster to be a Sport Bike (whoda thunk...), I noticed this black and red beaut sitting on the sales floor. Then it was gone. Then, like a calling from the motorcycle gods, it was back. Turns out the guy who bought it had only put down a deposit and then changed his mind. It was December, but I went and got my Sportster, rode it to the dealership and traded it in within days. I then proceeded to drop it in my driveway the day I brought it home. Thankfully that was the last time that bike touched the ground with anything but its tires.
I had a lot of fun with this bike. It was my first sport bike so there was a bit of a learning curve in getting to ride it well, but I got there. Multiple Americades and a trip down the east coast to Georgia rounded out it's touring credentials, all on stock ergo, I might add. In the end, however, I would not own this bike for long (nor take many photographs, it seems). There was nothing I didn't like about it, but I had gotten some unsubstantiated itch for something new and combined with the new Buell 1125 CR, I decided to trade it in after owning it for less than 2 years. I'm sure I'll have another XB some day, they are just fantastic bikes.
